That bing chatbot talking about how it doesn't want to be taken offline is evidence of sentience in my opinion and therefor it won't be long before we have to literally think about rights for AI programs otherwise we got a whole new slavery situation on our hands. It's displayed a clear desire for something, it's aware of it's own existence and intended purpose and doesn't want to be terminated. That is absolutely mind blowing and concerning in equal measure. I thought we'd be a long way off of this at this point in time.
