It's not just "competing" with China. It's being able to advance AI enough to prevent China from dominating the globe with the help of AI. We cannot pause the development of AI. And if you think China doesn't have global dominance as its main goal, you're very naive. Your grandchildren will be second-class citizens. Everyone will kowtow to China if they succeed.
