I was a lot like this person until very recently, and I can say: “just draw something” isn’t really practical helpful advice. They aren’t someone who *won’t* draw, they’re someone who thinks they *can’t* draw. Not as in they can’t physically pick up a brush or pencil or pen and move it across something, it’s something more fundamental, like a greyed out option in a video game. That is not to say, though, that they can’t. I’m no professional, but I’m way better than I was when I started a year ago at age 27, so here’s my advice for the person that thinks they can’t do it, that they need AI or they won’t be able to produce art: draw something right in front of you. Draw that can of soda on your desk, or the apple sitting on your coffee table. Draw a simple cartoon character who’s made of thick, forgiving lines. Not one that you come up with, draw like, Bluey, or SpongeBob. Trace someone else’s work. Art isn’t a talent, a gift you’re either born with or not, it’s a muscle, no it’s a *literal* muscle you have to work out. It’s in your hands, how you hold the pencil, how many times you have drawn a straight line, a curve, a squiggle. I promise you can make art and it’s so much more satisfying to make something that looks “worse” yourself than something that looks “better” from a prompt
