The very effort of trying to define what constitutes 'real' AI,as if one needed a philosophical litmus test,is laughably trivial. AI simulates human behavior, yes, but it does so with remarkable precision. And even consciousness itself might be convincingly imitated by a sufficiently advanced system. Ironically, it may be precisely this lack of self-awareness that ensures such systems achieve peak efficiency.
Aside from that, it seems our esteemed gentleman has long since passed the peak of his intellectual prime. As always, speculation tends to flourish where understanding is absent. And when it comes to AI and its future trajectory, let’s just say: we’re in for more surprises than most are prepared to admit.
