I’ve noticed that the only people complaining about not being able to use AI, are these talentless tech bros who seriously want to think that using program to spit out art or writing means they should be respected as artists or writers. I don’t care how much work you spent on that prompt, it’s not equivalent to the decades I’ve worked on my art skills. And especially with AI writing that generally doesn’t hold a candle to what most writers make on average. Because we actually know how to carry a plot across more than a few pages without forgetting basic details or even pur main character’s names. (Also a lot of those same guys will litterally boast about putting artists and writers out of work? Like they look at our choices to develpe these skills as some sort of “gatekeeping” them from being seen as equally brilliant??? It’s a really weird complex…) On top of that, NaMoWriMo - as a concept - is a fucking *challenge!!* It’s not supposed to be easy!!!! That’s why it used to be a respected accomplishment among writers. And NaNoWriMo isn’t a publishing house, they’re basically just an overly opinionated wordcount tracker, so why the hell does their policies on AI have anything to do with writers getting their works published??
