This second point is exactly what I was telling my designer/artist peeps in the industry. We do the exact same thing. Collect references, it mashes into something new in our brains and after some brain magic viola, we have a new piece of art. Now, if you go through enough art as part of your work, you can more or less tell where it’s inspired from. Maybe not the exact piece but you can get pretty close. Also, That brain magic is probably comparable to AI computation. Although I am not 100% sure.
