Thanks for coming back to the topic. AI art can be a touchy subject to artists because to be honest, a lot of the community around AI art is extremely hostile to artists, much like the NFT community was/is(a lot of them are the same people). I hate having to be afraid of what I do and don't do with my art because of the AI art community. I've had friends have to go private bc of harassment from them for talking about it. Someone even screencapped someone's twitch stream of working on a piece, ran it through an AI to finish before them, then claimed the original artist stole it. Or all the apps people have used to try to trick artists into feeding an AI. Machine learning art isn't the same as a human. Human artists do learn off of seeing other artists work, but they also work from real life, photos, and more. I can't take the AI to home depot to look at flowers then ask it to draw a woman based on the experience. I can't continually feed an AI work that it generated to improve it, it'll actually get worse while an artist would get better. Artist don't need other artists to produce art. And I've seen plenty of examples of AI art that really just isn't that different from the art they stole from either. Again, thanks for doing a follow up. Sorry about ranting, just an artist tired of walking through a minefield to find work.
