Thing is the AI isn't just making art because it can it is being tasked by a person to do something specific just like any other tool or program. If I'm writing a story and I want some cool images I can either spend a few hours refining an AI image or I can spend days or up to weeks finding an artist to commission who may or may not ever be able to make the art I actually envisioned.
