I'm sure the pursuit of alchemy furthered in some way the science of chemistry and perpetual motion machines helped solidify thermodynamics, but in the end they all ended up being scams. These LLMs are interpolating based on known training data, and somehow we expect it to extrapolate unknown super intelligence with the right amount of fine tuning? Polishing a turd indeed.
