I use Ai for prompt generation because I have days where I’m tired and struggling with art block. However when it comes to my personal art I do not say AI is better than human art.
Ai should be a sort of outline maker not the final product. It is a string of words typed into a UI that’s fed through a very complex algorithm that takes a huge chunk of art online and slapstick’s it together into what it thinks that image looks like. AI cannot perceive a picture like we can, it can perceive a string of numbers and binary from the picture and interpret it the best it can.
Now is Ai is useful and genuinely interesting product/tool. ? Most certainly. Should it be used to say you are inherently better than an artist who’s trained and honed themselves for years. Absolutely not. There is a difference between understanding and genuinely appreciating art and wanting to say you appreciate real art.
Ai is a tool not the product.
But feel free to correct me if I say anything inaccurate about how AI itself works in only taking a basic amount of knowledge I’ve learned already but I don’t know the intricate details by memory.
