The upside is: Artists can use AI to produce more art, and meet the never ending demand that's out there. Sure AI enables non artists too, but only an artist can spot the flaws, correct them and provide the best quality AI assisted art for those in need.
It's just another tool, in the ever expanding toolbox of every artist. Another version pen tablet... or camera obscura.
