The problem with ubi is there isnt enough money to fund it. But if jobs all did get replaced with automatiom then we would have to tax the wealthy a equivelent if they were still paying labor to fund a ubi. I think the wealthy should be taxed higher and the poor should just be taxed muchnlower or not taxed at all below a certain income. Taxes can reduce wealth inequality and they need to. It has never been more unequal than it is today. More so than even the gilded age. The wealthy choose to exploit and pay low wages. So the government has to subsidise those workrs to live. So the wealthy should be paying for those subsidies since they refuse to pay better wages.
