i love people that think AI and robots taking over production would lead to lower cost for the items they make. when the hell do companies lower their prices when they decrease their production costs? if a car is being sold for $40,000 today, and the company can create that car with robots tomorrow and save a ton on human wages, do you really have faith in the car manufacturer to actually pass that savings on to the end price of the car? the price will still be $40,000 after they decrease their production costs. all it means is more profits for whoever utilizes AI/robots in manufacturing.
