Okay, so when I get references for my art, I'll go onto Pinterest and be like "oh that looks nice" screenshot. Until I have a few that I can pull from. And I sat down to draw a couple days ago, because I'm trying to get out of my depression, and I grabbed a few snapshots of real people, and drawn people because if I can look at the brushstrokes its easier for me to make something similar. Anyways so I'm drawing, and I'm looking at one of my references, and I'm like "damn this fire is really realistic for a digital painting" ... "Damn this fire is a little too realistic it looks like a photo"... "What's with these boots??? Damn this is AI" It put me off of drawing for that day to be honest. My disability makes it difficult for me to find motivation, and like... I don't like combing through references on Pinterest just to tell if they're ai because genuinely it's depressing. AI is making it MORE difficult to make art. It's making it more difficult for me to find references. It's making it more difficult for me to feel stable in this hobby, and it's making it more difficult to find the motivation for my work.
