Well that was depressing. As a lifelong visual artist who lost the ability to see a few years ago, I found myself facing the fact that I would never again be able to produce visual art the way I used to. That was a crushing blow, but seeing the way AI has been taking over, I almost felt relieved in some ways. I still miss being able to draw and paint like hell, but I have music and writing and other outlets. Like orogramming video games... Only the other day I saw an add for an AI that takes a prompt, and spits out an entire video game. So I guess my years of learning to program are also a waste, now. It kind of makes me feel sick, to think of a game made by AI...
