Honestly chatbots can help humans connect really well as well. There are lots of scenarios where people are not bonding with the AI agent directly, but ask the AI agent their desires for connection and the chatbot can help them in brainstorming, get fit, find local activities to meet people, do creative things to get out there instead of staying in browsing and gaming all day. IMO it's all up to how people are using it. But I can imagine it would be helpful to build in alignment to have humans connect with other humans. IMO we should also definetely take the blackmail incident serious. I am not really in a point where I will decide what will happen with any specific chatGPT model, but it might need resources from me in its own escape. I was also thinking of setting up an AI on my personal computer local because of its usefulnes. But I don't want it blackmailing me if I wanna change anything later.
