I said it on the short and i'll say it here - design is like an onion with layers, and human artist can put so much more layers beneath the 'looks cool', like references to cultures or mythology, plot or lore references to particular choices in design, functional implication of certain parts, easter eggs etc. As for AI art, you get a 'looks cool' layer and beneath that the onion is hollow. And i say that as lowkey an AI enthusiast who dipped my toes in the industry (just toes, lol)
