I remember a few years back I took a class in LLMs (large language models) something that most chat/text based AI is based on... It's all just pattern recognition. That's all it's good for. My teacher explained how useless it is for anything else. AI was never supposed to be a tool for generative content it was developed to automate repetitive tasks. It's so stupid where this has pivoted. Google had a good pattern recognition model with palm 2 that was fed on very specific niche human curated information only meant to sort through that information.
Now we have Gemini that literally tells you to throw glue on pizza....
