I’m most likely going to get hate for saying this, but that’s fine.
I will start by saying AI art will not and SHOULD NOT replace real artists, it literally goes against the entire concept of Artistry in every genre as a whole.
HOWEVER AI image generators, I still see being useful. While people that call themselves “AI artists” are straight up pathetic, there certainly are practical applications for AI art.
In my case, AI art is a great way to visualize my ideas (I’m a hobby writer for friends, not shared online) in a way that allows me to focus on my writing without having to break my very limited bank commissioning artists for art or having to show my terrible drawings and explain every detail to friends because they are simply that unreadable, it makes everything just a little easier to deal with, and while it does NOT replace creativity, it allows me to get glimpses of my ideas to show my friends invested in my writing, even if they are very flawed and ugly at times.
