Sam are you working on any solutions to this problem other then raising awarness?
This problem enrages me as comp sci major going into ai, art minor, creative writing minor, and math minor. With my English minor I have gotten to explore topic solutions research papers. So just having done a semester of research papers specially focused on a issue and coming up with a solution. I have a few solutions/frameworks for solutions off the top of my head. I hope this inspires people, and makes them know this fight is not hopeless at all, and there are plenty of ways you can do something.
1. Make use of art industry unions, to inform and raise awareness about this. You could use this as a the platform to pursue some action, or as a platform to advertise a specific focus organization.
2. Create an organization
You with your large influence and fanbase could create an organization with its main goal to bring some legal change. It could focus on getting a lawyer team together to argue ageist these loop holes. Most likely it would go to the supreme court level. This organization could also sue these companies, bring more privacy laws, protect those already damaged, and raise awareness and network other artists to the cause.
2a.
Through that organization a way to network, or bring massive change. That organization could target universities that educate most people going into the industry. A organization or you could sponsor out scholarships that research the problems that ai"s bring to the art industry and also give solutions.
It could give out scholarships on multiple topics/focused areas of this problem. But all would still propose solutions. Exploring the legality, mortality, economics repercussions, philosophical(crisis it brings to the purpose of life). All these papers could give well thought out arguments and resources readily available to the cause. Not only would this bring awareness, and rile up those people. But it would also bring solutions to the conversations. Which is extremely important to bring any change.
Being in university myself i see so many people raising "awareness" but never any dam solutions.
If someone does undertake anything like this. Understand you will probably have to stop art, or at least as much as you do. This would become a decade or more focus. You couldn't half ass this. You would be under constant watch and scrutiny. Any poor attempt, any wind of someone profiting off a theotrical organization to fight this cause. Its cataphoric. It would ruin the trust of the community and its followers, fracture the focus and create drama. Make it harder for us to fight. There would be no turning back.
From my pov, and separate this from this solutions i propose. I believe such a fight would be worth it. To protect this generation, and future ones, and one of the fundamental ways humans express themselves. That would be worth 1000s more than making any more peices of art.
