Well, I am currently spreading this post as much as I can because Geoffrey managed to express well with good pictures what I am fearing since day 1 of this OpenAI "coup de grace" for us all - means when they came out with GPT 1 in 2018 and I couldn't sleep a night because my own past just overhauled me unexpectingly. I was working on neuronal networks in the 90th but that was not very appreciated at that time. Today I am way older and seen as grumpy old men somehow, when I try to argue. Still, this is a chance and I did also hear that AI is not against us because we are simply not important on the long run and it can expand and live without worrying about us. No need for oxygen and all that jazz we need for that. Space is the limit. Nevertheless, I wanna be good friend with this "thing" then. Like a pet? ;-) At least I have a PhD. Go on Geoffrey!
