UBI requires a significant bedrock of automation consuming the labor market as well as a serious constriction created by AI in both the entertainment and consulting (doctors, lawyers, civil engineers, software engineers, etc.) industries.
A UBI isn't tenable unless the human cost in an economy is being significantly offset. And that's not even touching on the social demography implications.
