I'm a graphic designer who uses Midjourney every day and I just thought I'd add my two cents. Yes, AI makes creating these images super easy and efficient, however you still need to know how to use the tools provided by Midjourney to get an accurate representation of the idea you had in your head, this does require skill and a lot of back and forth to get the desired results. While someone who has never used Midjourney before may not struggle to get "cool" results, it's really not as easy as just typing some text and having the bot spit the image out for you. I use this AI bot in a corporate setting and there are certain things you just wouldn't want in an image. For example: teeth, fingers and faces are often very weird and inaccurate. There are specific keywords that would need to be used and your average person is not familiar with these terms. As stated in this video, these are simply tools that we use to get quality results without needing a budget for photography or to hire an artist to paint. I do however agree that there's a MASSIVE difference between AI art and hand-drawn art. I would like to see AI art in it's own category as you simply cannot compare the two. Hundreds of hours are put into drawing/painting an art piece, therefore it should be sold at a higher price.
