I disagree with "AI art is bad". Especially from environment perspective, because CO2 needed to generate even a dozen of images is less than for one human-made art, especially if you count all powered devices needed for a human living in a modern city.
Yet I agree that effortless copy an artist's style that was only possible because said artist showed their work on the Internet and which said artist tonnes of money, time, and often some mental health, is extremely unjust. This should be at least profitable for artists.
In a perfect world, all artists would get paid for art used in AI training. And preferably some royalty for "artistname" in a promt. Since our world is not in any way perfect, Nightshade it is.
