Well this is clearly biased towards how management see AI and not how it sits in reality. The interviewer mentions how the internet came in but fails to mention that it's not adopted fully, it has never realised it's potential and there's no signs that AI is any different. These are extractive tools built to obtain money from consumers not to provide meaningful tools to help people. Ai is not being focused on making things better for workers but rather how they can replace people despite the best job for AI to replace being that of the CEO. The main problem with all these new shinies is there's no one trying to get them to do what we need them to do and instead is far too focused on marketing them and selling to people who aren't convinced by the shiny exterior. Why use AI? To simplify things we have deliberately made vague and opaque. What would be a better use? Make those things clear from the beginning by challenging how they work right now. Take the internet for example, how many file formats, website design features or even programming languages do we have? Do we really need them all or are they just factioning the work and preventing proper integration of systems where we could really start to make things easier? When will any one of these technological marvels actually deliver on what was promised for paperless offices back in the 1980s? When will we use this technology to make the working day and week shorter, to increase people's work life balance, pay them enough money so they are better consumers (not to mention not suffering with numerous psychological issues from the stress)? Ai, just another trendy term like .com Maybe it will be useful but not in the way these people are selling it. First of all they need to show a deterministic AI before it will be much of any use at all.
