Major companies like Google and Microsoft should focus on ensuring that everyone can benefit from this progress.
Right now, in Africa, many people are not aware of AI because it mainly exists in foreign languages. Yet Africa, being home to a large youth population and facing many challenges caused by limited knowledge, should be a key area for AI investment. I call on these companies to invest significantly so that people in Africa can use AI to improve their lives.
This should also include developing AI tools that use voice and video features so that even those who cannot read or write can have equal access to its benefits.
