These people have never played of watch a dystopian world in which AI or technology replaces the jobs of humans, much less tried to see how horrible it would be if it translated over into our world. Both Detroit: Become Human and iRObot have shown us the dirty side of advanced technology, how it creates less job opportunities, how it causes homelessness, how it causes anger and riots. But I think were the disconnections is coming from is, DBH and iRobot are just pieces of media meant to convey a message, they display imagery that isn't possible in the real world. I find that to be utter bullshit. As an intermediate artist myself, movies help convey a message they are supposed to (if that was their intention is) sway a person to think in a certain way. Im positive that if the AI industry turned it eyes towards more "hailed" subjects, such as math and science, they were would an outrage among people who are passionate about the subject. People would push back against the company beucse they're stealing jobs from people who have spent their lives perfecting the skills. Art has long been a profession demeend by others as childish, and inadequate of securing a well paying job. In a world where work comes before passions, art will never truly find its place. I think what I'm trying to get at is, the fight against AI is a whole double standard. Once AI industries grow bored of stealing art from artists they'll start stealing other works from other talented people. It probably would be too long until further generations will be taught by AI. Then who will be complaining?
