The predictive policing was ABSOLUTELY NOT racism. I think a lot of people here need to see this because they're making accusations and arguments without any information from outside this 5 second explanation. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DaA6x8xyvIY explains that McDaniels was put on the heat list because he was arrested once on marijuana charges with a friend who had recently been killed in a shooting, which, according to the A.I., made him a lot more likely to be involved in a shooting himself. The police talked to him, his neighbors thought he was an informant (which doesn't necessarily mean that he was involved in illegal activity with them) because they were talking to him, and they shot him. NONE of this had anything to do with race, but with who he was friends with.
