AI is ok for personal use, for independent writers, bloggers who need some illustrations. But it needs to be regulated for using personal information and corporate use. Like artifacting "markers" that will distinguish an AI-generated image from a regular one. However, let's not get all crazy about it. Tractors, harvesting combines didn't take away farmer's jobs, they made them easier. Enabled them to grow more, better produce. By your logic, food not grown by breaking your back isn't real food, it's "false" food, and farmers who don't manually till their fields aren't real farmers because they "cut corners" and are not "passionate" about farming? Same with AI-assisted art. A lot of artists I know conceptualize their images with the help of AI, and let AI do some of the more tedious heavy lifting, while they do the real creative work. AI makes it easier to make more, better images. Any tool can be misused. But this does not mean it's not useful. A lot of these complaints about AI sound like "Dey took our jerbs!" (c) South Park
