The scary thing about AI is that it doesn't actually work the way people think it does. So companies and government will put too much faith in AI and say things like "It can't be wrong, the AI said so!". AI itself is not scary, that's like being afraid of a hammer. If a carpenter comes up to you with a hammer you won't really care, but if someone is chasing you with a hammer then it's scary. The hammer itself isn't scary, it's the guy wielding it.
