14:47 im an artist who does a lot of character art in cartoon style and scenes from a story ive been putting my heart into for coming up 6 years in a few months now since i was 13, occasionally branching out to semi-realism, location drawings, anime, etc and i have issues with sight, im deuteranopia colourblind, partially sighted (pretty sure this is just the British version of legally blind correct me if im wrong) my vision is bad enough that im not allowed to get a license, both of these makes art on paper hard cuz i need to take my glasses off and sit about 6 centimetres or something away from the paper to comfortably draw which causes back problems and blocks out light i need, even then i still find paper drawing more fun than ai, ive tried ai before but like it was mostly used for just crappy placeholders til i draw something properly, i dont really show my art to the public, never been uploaded anywhere so. i dont use ai anymore for that even if it never sees public eye, i use a Huion drawing tablet and Krita to draw my art cuz it lets me bring the screen closer to me and it lights itself, also colour adjustments for my colourblind and not having to guess colours (memorising colour theory and the colourwheel, some of my early art had questionable colouring, and even now i still make mistakes lol). AI just kinda puts down the hard work ive put into making my art look the way it does today and will look in the future, i havent self taught myself for 7 years, just to see people who dont put in the work and steal fellow artists content. and factoring in the dissability aspect of it, just sorta shows that they dont care for disability issues cuz my blind ass who relies on touch more than vision to do a lot of tasks, still puts in the effort to achieve what ive done and am proud of today, yes we as disabled people need help but we dont need it done for us. i dont know about other people tho thats just my view on it and im having a dragon ball z level battle with imposter syndrome to even just post this lol ps 5:40 to prove this further and kinda a guilty admission, about a year into my art, i came across a post on google of some steven universe ocs (i went searching for it again a few months ago, after like an hour of searching and trying to recreate one of the drawings from memory to image reverse it, i found tha artist is called bloop on amino and the post is titled "gem OC refs") and i just entirely copied the style down to everything, but now 6 years later, my art style has evolved and changed so much that you probably wouldnt guess the two are related. i cant find any art from them post 2018 and i wanna find some because i imagine thier art has evolved from that too and im so curious what it looks like now and how different itd be from mine lol
