I was making a character design with an idea that is quite niche and I was looking on pinterest for it, I switched the words and prompts many many times, clicked on tons of pins to see if there was what I was looking for on the related pins and nothing, the exact idea I was going for didn't seem to show up! And honeslty I got desperate and asked an AI to generate an idea. I was SUPER specific, maybe 5-6 lines detailing what I imagined and the result was... Disapointing, I tried another 3-4 times but again nothing, so I got a moment of clarity and though "Wait, wtf am i doing? I've got my own hands to do this" and so I studied for a while the original thing I wanted the design to be, I sketched many failed attempts and finally I drew what I envisioned perfectly, even better than I imagined! And guess what? Yes, it took time, it took effort, learning, mistakes and scrapping ideas time and time again, and that's what these people don't want. They want something quick, right here right now, without any effort, but as I experienced, AI is so limited if you actually want references...
