Have a mixed feeling about this.
Yeah, I get the artist's perspective. AI just regurgitating their works. Taking their bread and butter and spewing out products of extremely questionable quality.
But also, that rant, "Take whatever I enjoy doing and offload it to AI, and that would make your life hollow" is sort of manipulative. It is a bad argument. Not because of WHAT it is argued for, but because of HOW it is doing it. Even if it would argue that it is better to save puppies than light nursing homes ablaze, in the form it is presented here it would be a bad argument.
