Watching lawtwitter point and laugh at this case was a delight.
What irritates me about how the media is treating this case is that they aren't focusing on the real issue with such programs. They make it seem like it's just a weird issue with legal briefings instead of a fundamental issue with the programs themselves. AI, as it currently is, does not understand what it itself does. It stitches together words and phrases that it has flagged as a "good" response to a prompt. It cannot tell the difference between real things and things it makes up to fit a prompt. AI is still not anywhere close to what science fiction has depicted.
