I was quite excited about AI art when it came out. I'm decent at drawing myself and I illustrate something I'm writing. So I thought I'd use AI to get more portraits for my characters, landscapes of the lands I've invented. And I thought that if something doesn't match with my vision, I'd edit it. However, it consistently came out looking so bland, generic and soulless. Those weren't MY characters or my landscapes. So now I use it to churn out some nice visuals and use as colour reference for pictures I draw myself.
