By government regulation Mr. Hinton appears to mean corporate censorship. Governments gifting companies the authority to enforce censorship using AI is not a solution to the danger of AI but its very realization!
The idea that governments are moral but companies are not, despite governments always doing what companies pay them to do, is basic insanity.
