I am not an artist by any stretch of the imagination 😢 but following your foray into this topic and I love what you are doing! You touch on many aspects but the one aspect I haven't seen you mention is actually illustrated by the cursed images, (not your "poisoned" images!), generated by AI that show the beginning stages of what is known as "hallucinations" which is where an AI trained on AI art or content starts getting digital schizophrenia. This can get so bad that an AI engine can even have to be abandoned since once it gets to that event horizon it cannot be recovered. (Look up the Microsoft ChatBot "Tay" for an early example). That is one of the reasons, (even though many AI "artists" probably don't even realize it), that there is a need for "real" content since that is the only way to stave off the impending doom that is digital mental illness in all AI engines.
