“Why don’t you do it too?” I used to! Then I learned about how it steals, and at first that didn’t even deter me, because I thought as long as I didn’t post anything, I would just gett pretty little pictures of my OCs! I thought, if I just have the things in my camera roll as references or whatever, then they can’t actually harm anyone. But then I learned about the impact on the environment. How, even if I didn’t post anything, every generation had a real huge impact. All the energy it takes, all the water needed to cool off the computers, it’s insane! The reason I don’t do it is because I have a moral compass. The people who never did it at all were either more informed or have a stronger moral compass than me. Being a guy who’s whole brand is AI means you’ve definitely had every argument against it in your face daily, so he’s definitely informed, which means the only thing left is that he’s an incredibly immoral person. Feels really good to know that while I’m not the best artist, I’m getting better every day, and I’m not fucking over the earth like this guy is. I hope the AI fad ends soon, and it’ll go back to just like controlling robot arms in surgeries.
