The problem is not the automation itself, the problem is that we live in a system that only values the use and production of a person and not their life itself. The fact that we feel the need to get rid of automation and solutions just so a person can do those jobs instead, so that way they don't starve, is awful. The problem is that we need to fight and struggle so we can get the chance to fight and struggle for money. As an engineer it pains me when people invent ways for robots to do something so it can solve our problems, so people have more time to live life, love our family members, and do the things we want to do, but instead we live in a system where we view the only use of people as workers, and if you automate that work, those people are now "useless" and discarded. This is why we need UBI and post labor economics.
