My bank forced an AI human voice on to users on their telephone contact system. The only thing it’s good at is getting everything wrong. Then it fights with you when you ask to speak to a human. As for AI on the internet, we tried using it to help analyze survey results for a large project. We found that it couldn’t extrapolate from an initial question. In other words, it would tell you either something didn’t exist, or it couldn’t figure out that certain things were related, therefore should be included. You would ask it to provide examples of something that we knew was in responses and it would come back with nothing. We trashed it fairly quickly and a colleague did some magic with Excel that ended up working better than the AI. What really gave us pause was when we were told that anything we were analyzing went into the system for the AI to use in future analysis for anyone else using it. Not exactly what you want if you are dealing with confidential information.
