Mr Mubeen is wrong to dismiss Elon Musk’s warnings.
According to him only Jeffery Hinton’s expert opinions are valid. Does that mean only theoretical physicists can have a valid opinion regarding the dangers of nuclear war.
The very fact that Mr Mubeen has this blinkered hierarchical view is exactly why AI needs oversight by grown ups not emotionally , academically or financially attached to it.
AI is a very powerful tool. It does not take an expert to see a myriad of potential dangers if it is not properly regulated & controlled to be of service to humanity & not problematic to us.
