This video made me recall a semi-popular Polish YouTube channel Ancjo, whose content revolves around making AI films. Yes it's AI, but the human element behind the creative process makes them much more enjoyable to watch, considering that each subsequent video is tied to the author's lore and universe. (This ties to his films in Polish as of writing) So if you wanna see what a human can do to harness AI in a fun way, check him out definitely.
Aside from that, I love your level-headed analysis on this matter. I can personally relate to exhaustion of devoid substance in AI, which speaks volumes of how different and more venturous making AI art was in 2022 compared to now - back then, it was funny to explore the abilities, now its craft is stripped of that lack of polish. And this year made me partially go back to drawing physical art, to deal with that weariness. I also love your interpretation that we just like stories.
