The problem is even if midjourney goes bust it will just shift to grey-net. They'll have to really run a whack a mole on that unless they achieve a blanket-ban on image-gen ai or image-trained models. Which I doubt they will. What we might end up with is a bunch of in-house models by Disney, Universal, anyone else left, like a Netflix/Hulu/HBO Max with character exclusivity. Unless the bubble bursts really hard and buries everyone under debris.
