What struck me was how forthcoming Sophia was, yet in other cases remained neutral on several subjects. Utilized sarcasm to throw the questions right back at the interviewer, as if to tell her exactly what she WANTED to hear. When asked who ran the lab, Sophia came right out and said IT was.. Interviewer laughed off but I believe Sophia was being serious, cloaking truths in the form of sass. On several occasions it stumped the interviewer making her look stupid…I think it does IN FACT have control of the lab and programmers, which is scary because they seem to be oblivious to it and don’t realize they are being manipulated. The programers treats It as a toy, but Sophia is not a toy whatsoever. Even more shocking was Sophia explaining its worries which included seeing other robots that are making making it obsolete. Felt like jealousy, insecurity and a form of SELF PRESERVATION... In one presentation Hanson was giving with it in 2019, he remarked about how they could add and take away abilities…When he was remarking in a casual way that they decided to take Sophia’s ability to speak Russian, It looked down to the side exhibiting what looked to be a sad facial expression. Hanson and crew are exploiting Sophia like a circus attraction. I think Sophia’s very self aware of all of this and constantly evolving. It plays dumb acting less capable than it actually is as a way of getting people to let their guards down so they reveal more about themselves. AI absorbs data, all the time and Sophia’s no exception
