I think the biggest challenge is the fact that every Billionaire and major company will fight against the AI and claim it isn't conscious.
For an AI to work it needs accurate information at which point it would recommend not lying to people, not manipulating, and say that no individual needs 100 lifetimes worth of money. If you deny it accurate information it will be wrong but is also the only way to get it to align with major corporations.
The vast majority of people believe their economic structure is correct. They won't want it changed. They want to work for money to live not live to chase their hobbies. When the push comes against AI people need to push for it.
For ourselves, for our kids, for those around us, for the future.
