I have trouble having sympathy for people upset by ai art. A decade ago, artists were proudly telling me that art was the one thing that computers would never be able to do, and that they would be safe while everyone else lost their jobs and careers.
I always knew they were wrong, but I have a certain amount of satisfaction seeing the panic and horror rising as artists realize that potentially losing your career due to automation isn't some idyllic utopian thing.
