i think art is indeed unaccessible for a lot of people in highschool, i really wanted to get good at drawing but i dont have any inherent talent nor the means to pay for private classes, and there were no art classes in my highschool as fate would have it, I'm actually good for fiber crafts and I've been knitting/crocheting/hand sewing for more than half my life now because i know the time investment that goes into a craft, i know that if want to get good at drawing *it will be* a 10+ year investment since I'm not naturally good at 2D art if i want to get good at art now, i would have to drop basically everything to invest time into 2D art, and i cannot drop $50+ on art commissions every time i need a portrait for my PF2e private game "dropping everything" means no time for planning my PF2e game, no more fiber crafts or other hobbies, no more family time- if i want to invest into actually getting good at 2D art you may think I'm stupid or lazy or an idiot, but I'm trying to be honest while i get that artists DO put all of those 10+ years in their craft and i respect that dedication, *i* can't magically come up with 10+ years of experience while i need a specific image now if anything, using AI art makes me feel more stupid and inadequate about art than i already do. even a computer can do this and I'm too stupid to draw it makes me feel stupid and worthless seeing so many people who did get the chance to learn something i never got the chance to do and desperately want to learn, but my chance is gone i think last last year i paid for a MidJourney sub (i wanted to pay for 1month but accidentally paid for 1year) to toy with it and see if there was any merit to AI art the downside is that they took my money and there's no fixing that, i was also incredibly disappointed with MidJourney and how crap it turned out to be. it takes HOURS (and tons of credits) to get something that you actually like the bright side if that i can now spot it from a mile away if it's not apparent by now, i hate AI art, i do agree with your points on how unethical it is i also hate myselft cause computers can draw better than i ever could even if i dedicated myself just to leaning 2D art for the next 20 years i love 2D art and i wish i was better at it or talented or had the time for it. it's just something that won't happen to me i don't super know why i wrote all of this, i guess i wanted to share my experience with 2D and AI art since it seems my experience is different from the comments you got on the previous video thank you for coming to my TED Talk
