Most of the testing for FSD is in warm weather climates. In NZ we frequently get frosty windscreens. It can be fine when you exit your house but then suddenly the windscreen fogs up and you have to find a place to pull over to the side of the road while you wait to clear the windscreen. I've had situations a few times in early mornings where the iSight system on my Subaru instantly switches off. I've also had it switch off in sun strike situations and for other unexplained reasons. Sometimes just after using the windscreen washer. I don't have confidence in autonomous driving yet and relying on one set of fixed sensors is not sensible. People can move their heads around, we can wind down windows to get a better view. We can think and make decisions that are outside of what a software program can do.
