I think you can boil down some of the responses to these sad attacks, for those who defend the use of the artists' material without their permission in AI to a feeling of envy. It is the same we see when it comes to a murder crime. One or more emotions are at play. Here it is almost a desire to murder what the artist stands for. Perhaps it is because we live in a society that seeks the perfect without having to make a great effort to achieve that result. If you are sitting out there looking for a way to make a living through creativity / art there is a whole community out there that will welcome you, that will support your journey. And I promise the fruit of succeeding will be a far greater sense of happiness to achieve than trying to take other people's works and spit out an imitation, using what is fed to an AI setup. At the present time, you will not get a new development of art by using AI - it will become static, boring and lack the human connection that we see in the individual imprint that everyone who works with image structure creates, that from brush strokes, style and experience and the way of seeing one's contemporaries.
