Perhaps part of the problem w/the argument surrounding AI's making workforces redundant, that Universal Basic Income is the solution, however how problematic this is when this AI takeover, if it indeed occurs, will happen in stages, over sectors & not in a simultaneous mass workforce takeover in total. Universal Basic Income only becomes problematic IF the enactment of it follows the framework proposed to the American population/ electorate most notably by Andrew Yang; UBI as social safety-net replacement. UBI rather than all the programs pre-tangerine tyrant, which make up the USA's social safety-net. This proposal, while latched on by the mainstream corporate news media, was a very contorted & truncated version of very real & very successful implementations of UBI by other nations across the globe. It has to be in conjunction w/the programs, services, payments etc. which were part of the already threadbare American social safety-net pre convict tangerine tyrant's 2nd regime. And while it was glaringly apparent to many, especially but not exclusively, on the Left, our social safety-net was in critical need of enhancing & expansion, it most definitely is so now. Its almost complete destruction by the criminal regime has indeed opened the door for a comprehensive, full-on reimagining & rebuilding of our entire societal system w/today's challenges in mind, including AI's role w/in & setting the parameters that We the People actually want for the benefit of all. Not the few.
